Profile of Jo Hawley-Smith

Jo has been a part of the CDL team for more than nine years following ten years experience in Human Resource Management at both corporate and operational level.

Jo has extensive experience in account managing and facilitating all of CDL services at multiple levels. She provides practical human resource expertise for numerous organizations across both the private and public sector.

In her consulting role with CDL Insight Consulting, Jo’s Human Resource and Organisational Development expertise is highly sought after. She establishes rapport quickly and ensures that business and people needs are addressed effectively. 

Jo enjoys the opportunity to encourage clients to ‘think outside the square’ and to provide practical suggestions that can be readily assimilated into the workplace. Jo has had significant experience in managing large change management and organisational restructuring projects.

Jo has a Bachelor of Arts Degree and a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology from the University of Otago. She also holds a Diploma in Business Studies (Human Resources) from Massey University. Jo is also a Past Secretary of the Canterbury Branch of the New Zealand Institute of Management.
