OUR JOURNEY

We are often asked, ‘What do the letters CDL represent?’  The answer lies in the history of our company. Career Directions Limited was the founding name of the company that was established more than fourteen years ago. Back then in our infancy, Change Management, Transition and Development underpinned the success of our nationally based consulting business. Recognising the strength that comes with proven expertise and the success of our brand, not a lot has changed!

Today, while the company name has been modified yet still reflects its proud origins, the fundamental principles and values that form the heartbeat of CDL, remain the same.  We have continued our reputation for providing direction and focus in ways that our clients know will enhance both their business and people capability.  In CDL we refer to this as… providing INSIGHT! 

CDL’s innovative business solutions address the impact on business profitability when people motivation, productivity, performance or engagement is compromised.  We support and advise Managers who face multiple challenges on an almost daily basis as they juggle operational priorities with having to deal with time consuming people issues.  When change is on the horizon, we use many decades of collective skill to protect personal and business reputation while sensitively ensuring that people at all levels have the skills to clarify future direction and move ahead with confidence.

Cleary we could talk and write endlessly about what CDL does and how it does it! However, it’s the WHY WE DO IT that we think sets us apart. Our ‘common sense’ and pragmatic approach to the customised solutions we design and provide have stood the test of time as the hallmark of our success. We’re not into using complicated jargon that no one really understands and has little practical application. We don’t encourage your business or your people to become reliant on ours in order to realise success.   Our ‘WHY PHILOSOPHY’ is simple – we honour the trust that is placed in us to make a positive, immediate and empowering difference!

We’re often told that it’s easy doing business with CDL and that our approach is a welcome ‘breath of fresh air’. The passion that each person shares within CDL is infectious  -  many clients and customers over the years are now our personal friends, some have even taken that next career step and chosen to join the CDL team. We reckon there’s no finer compliment or endorsement of the value we provide.  Perhaps that’s one of the reasons we’ve been asked by organisations across Australia and the United Kingdom to reach out to their particular markets. Our considered response has led to the expansion of CDL as a leading international business consulting firm. Clearly these days, good news travels far and wide!
